Our Mission:
Our program is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for young children along and their families. Each child's play and day is focused on broad holistic goals with specific outcomes for each subject area of play. To ensure this balance, we provide a warm, nurturing setting that encourages children to learn and explore their rich potential that they bring to every play learning situation. We support children in bringing their full body, mind, and whole being to play and learn. We see children as mighty learners and citizens, and we embrace the diversity of our diverse Alberta families. We are committed to creating a nurturing and learning environment in partnership with our families, schools, and the community we live in.
Professional Development and Education:
“Our educators work within a practice of relationships with children and families!”
We put emphasis on education and professional development for our educators. Our educators are encouraged to stay current and updated in the childcare field by attending conferences, workshops, webinars, courses, etc... Monthly staff meetings are conducted where we focus on staff input, sharing of current resources and practices to enhance staff knowledge and understanding of current information relating to the childcare field.
Our qualified educators use documentation to make learning visible. This documentation and children’s disposition to learn later becomes “Learning Stories” that we are proud to display and share with all stakeholders.
Our Program:
Our practice is driven by The Alberta Early Learning and Care curriculum “FLIGHT.”
Our Curriculum focus is different from a traditional curriculum. We focus on the Holistic goals of the Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Framework. The Educators use the Holistic Goals to describe and interpret children’s everyday experiences. The content is exclusively integrated and emerges from the children’s fascination with the world. Our families, children, and educators create a place of vitality together by being strong, active, and energetic in our community. We encourage families to share their culture and traditions with us, as we value their connection and contributions significantly.

Additional closure dates may exist over the Christmas Break. This is determined yearly by a survey given to parents.
FLIGHT:
The Vision of this curriculum framework highlights the potential of strong, active, and energetic early childhood communities grounded in the rights of children and reflective of Alberta’s diverse families.
LANGUAGE:
Our educators speak different languages and are able to communicate and support families from diverse backgrounds.
PLAY:
Our educators understand that “Children’s play is central to the curriculum framework as an active, exploratory, creative, expressive process, deeply embedded in children’s everyday experiences and through which children participate in, learn about, and actively make sense of the world”. Our playroom is filled with ideas and activities that support choices, exploration, creativity, and unique ways to solve problems.
DIVERSITY:
All children and families have equal rights to a voice in decision-making and contributions to our group. All children, regardless of race, religion, age, linguistic heritage, social and economic status, gender, or ability, are entitled to inclusion in everyday activities and routines.
